Prasong Kittinanthachai received his M.A in comparative religions at Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. He is working as a full-time university lecturer at the Department of Philosophy, Ramkhamhaeng University, Thailand. He is now taking a leave of absence to pursue his PhD in Buddhist Studies at the University of Hamburg. In 2011, he got a fellowship from the US State Department to study religious pluralism in the public sphere at the UC Santa Barbara. He is interested in the issues of Buddhism and modernity. He is working on Thai Buddhism dealing with questions of gender and sexuality.
